Carlos Serres celebrates 125 years of wine history with a new look

Niles, IL – August 1st2022 – Bodega Carlos Serres celebrated its 125e anniversary in 2022 by looking to the past, to the emblematic figure and the values ​​of the founder Charles Serres, to Rioja and the terroir of Haro. The new design and revamped brand logo packaging are based on this inspiration from the founder’s story.

Behind the brand’s new mantra, “Bringing Back Memories”, lies a totally different approach to all the present and future initiatives of the centuries-old Spanish winery. The new Carlos Serres wine label reflects their history and heritage. Carlos Serres was designed in premium packaging including a signature sheet for their 125th anniversary. This reinforces a decades-long research process into the founder’s past accomplishments as well as the help Charles has given to the advancement of the wine industry throughout Rioja.

The 125th anniversary highlights the winery’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in environmentally friendly viticulture and organically grown vineyards, in the Rioja Alta sub-region. The century-old winery has reclaimed its iconic Rioja brand, Carlomagno, and rebottled an exclusive 1970 vintage limited edition library to celebrate its anniversary.

In addition to the iconic range, the Carlos Serres Reserva and Gran Reserva wines are made with grapes from the Finca El Estanque estate vineyard located in Haro. The 60-hectare (150-acre) estate was partially planted in 1980 and later expanded in the 1990s. It is one of the first Rioja vineyards to be espaliered to take advantage of cool winds and better weather. adapt to the Atlantic-influenced climate of the Rioja Alta sub-region.
