The History Channel is partnering with an educational travel company to launch guided tours.
History Travel will debut in November 2022 in the United States and Europe for a series of eight tours covering world wars, artistic and cultural movements, national parks and notable personalities and families.
Based in Washington, D.C. Academic trip abroad create the routes and manage them. Guests will be led by expert historians and local guides.
Jazz in New Orleans will be the first History Travel tour, departing November 14. The four-night tour will take guests on a musical journey through the Big Easy’s jazz history, with walking tours, cooking demonstrations, museum visits and a meet-and-greet with Grammy-winning musician Kevin Ray Clark. Accommodation is at the Wyndham New Orleans — French Quarter.
The Jazz in New Orleans Tour will be hosted by the American Jazz Museum’s Director of Collections and Cultural Affairs, Dina M. Bennett.
The price of the trip is $2,995 per person. Some meals are included. The maximum number of guests is 25.
Other tours planned for later this year and early 2023 will focus on Pearl Harbor, Yellowstone National Park, the Medici family in Florence, the life of Winston Churchill, the Battle of Gettysburg, WWI and Greece antique.
