Fox League pundit Michael Ennis and Raiders coach Ricky Stuart have a history of swapping barbs.
Although it was just good-natured banter, Stuart took the opportunity to get one back on the former Sharks premiership winner during a chat in the locker room ahead of his team’s clash. against the Raiders.
“No, I’ll be upstairs Michael,” Stuart said with a laugh.
“Good luck buddy,” Ennis said, reaching out to shake hands.

Stuart then hilariously grabs Ennis’ hand, pulling him closer to deliver a Tzsyu-like shorthand punch to his ribs before quickly patting him on the cheek.
“We need this in slow motion,” shouts a viewer in the background.
Ennis couldn’t help but burst out laughing, clearly hitting Stuart with a subtle dig inciting the combo.
Stuart and Ennis have never shied away from an on-air stoush and in 2020 the cheeky rake asked the legendary halfback a curious question in a Super Saturday pre-game interview.
“Ricky, you’ve got the winter coat sticking out of the collar over there mate,” Ennis joked.

Stuart smiled before hitting back, “You’re a *** head, Mick”.
At the time, Ennis was working as an assistant coach for the Raiders and the pair are good friends with a clear love-hate relationship.
Now, Ennis has left the nation’s capital to take on a role on Brad Arthur’s coaching staff as a consultant.
We’ve yet to see any on-air banter between the two, but with Ennis’ track record, it can’t be far off.
