The HISTORY channel launches a series of travel experiences around the world

Travel enthusiasts are likely excited about the reopening of the world, as are HISTORY Travel™. The partnership between A&E Networks, The HISTORY Channel and Academic Travel Abroad, is rolling out a series of travel experiences to a range of destinations worldwide. Each trip is designed by world-class historians and local experts so you get insight into the history of each destination.

“Jazz in New Orleans” will be one of the first of many touring experiences and will take place November 14-18, 2022 and March 20-24, 2023. This trip is a journey into the rich musical history of New Orleans in through sites. For example, travelers will enjoy a personalized walking tour of Louis Armstrong Park’s Congo Square, a behind-the-scenes view of the Jazz Museum, and an exclusive cooking demo on the island of Algiers. Historian Dina M. Bennett will guide this tour and she is Director of Curatorial Affairs at the American Jazz Museum.

Beyond New Orleans, HISTORY Travel will also arrange trips to Pearl Harbor, Gettysburg & Antietam, Yellowstone National Park and countries including England, Greece, Italy and France. Each year, new destinations will be added to the list.

In terms of the cost of these experiences, tour prices range from $2,995 to $6,595, excluding airfare.
