The HISTORY channel to present a new GREAT ESCAPE series WITH MORGAN FREEMAN

HISTORY® will premiere the new animated and produced non-fiction series “Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman” by the Oscar-winning actor on Tuesday, November 9 at 10 p.m. ET / PT. Produced by Revelations Entertainment, the production company of Freeman and producer Lori McCreary, the eight-hour-long episode series will detail the biggest breakouts in the history of some of the world’s most notorious prisons.

Famous jailbreaks are legendary because their true stories are often unknown. Now, with dramatic recreations, dynamic storytelling, and cutting-edge visuals, infamous prison breakouts like Alcatraz will come to life in great detail. Hosted by Freeman, each episode will unveil every step of an inmate’s meticulous plan, the escape route, and the intense manhunt that immediately followed.

The episodes will feature prison breakouts ranging from Alcatraz, Clinton Correctional Institution in Dannemora, NY, HM Maze Prison in Northern Ireland, Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Tennessee and more.
