President Clinton is one of the few people alive who understands the often agonizing responsibility of being the chief decision maker at critical times in our nation’s history. Every president since George Washington has had to define the words “We The People” and a “More Perfect Union,” and in times of growth and grave distress, every president has had to make difficult choices that would unite the country or divide it. this.

This series takes a comprehensive look at a wide variety of presidential actions that moved our country forward, such as President Eisenhower ordering the 101st Airborne Division to Little Rock, AR to provide security for the “Little Rock Nine”, the speech and the Emancipation of President Lincoln at the Gettysburg Proclamation, and Lyndon B. Johnson enacting what has been called the most significant civil rights legislation to date: the Voting Rights Act of 1965.”

The U.S. Presidency” also takes on presidential decisions that have further divided our country, such as Herbert Hoover’s “repatriation campaigns” that led to mass deportations of Mexican-American citizens during the Great Depression and Executive Order 9066 of the FDR which led to the systematic deportation of nearly 120,000 Japanese Americans rounded up and forced into prison camps.
