Super Bowl LVI will be the first Super Bowl in NFL history to feature none of the top three seeds from either conference. The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals will take part in the unexpected Super Bowl 56 game, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. For the first time in NFL history, a team will host a conference championship game and the Super Bowl, with the Rams earning that honor.

The NFL’s regular season has been extended to 17 games this season, creating an 18-week season for the first time since 1993 (when the NFL had two weeks off), and every part of the schedule has been pushed back. ‘one week. That means the NFL’s longest season will culminate with the last Super Bowl in league history.

The regular season always started the second week of September, but the playoffs started the third week of January, instead of the second week as in previous years. That pushed the Super Bowl back to the second week of February for the first time, the new spot on the schedule after 17 years of playing the first week of February.

This year’s Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 13 – the last date for a Super Bowl in NFL history.

This Super Bowl will be the eighth in the Los Angeles area and the first in Inglewood, California (home of SoFi Stadium). The last Super Bowl held in the Los Angeles area was at the Rose Bowl in 1993 (the last of five Super Bowls held at the iconic venue). Super Bowl 2022 will be the first held in a new venture since Super Bowl LIII was held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in 2019. It will be the seventh venue for the Super Bowl’s first time in the past 12 years.

This is the fifth trip to the Super Bowl for the Rams franchise and the third while in Los Angeles. They made two more trips while in St. Louis and won it all in 2000 against the Titans. The team’s last appearance was in Super Bowl 53, which they lost 13-3 to the New England Patriots. The Bengals are trying to win their first Super Bowl championship.
